Precast DF 7*3

Precast concrete is made by pouring concrete into a mould in a factory or plant, instead of directly pouring it at the construction site. The cured concrete product is then transported to the construction site and installed as a finished material. However, there are several different types of precast concrete.

The precast seismic structural system (PRESSS) comprises unbonded post- tensioned steel cables running through the frame of a building, allowing controlled rocking of the building without damage to the frame itself. PRESSS technology was developed in the 1990s by New Zealand engineer Nigel Priestley.

Description

Precast concrete is a construction product produced by casting concrete in a reusable mold or "form" which is then cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site and maneuvered into place; examples include precast beams, and wall panels, floors, roofs, and piles.

Precast concrete is reinforced concrete that is cast away from the building site, and assembled on site. Some (but not all) precast concrete is available in standard shapes and dimensions: floor and roof planks, tees and double-tees are examples.
